Campus Communications

The Office of Student Development serves as a clearinghouse for all university announcements which require any form of scheduling. Announcements must be received one week prior to the scheduled event. Non-University announcements must be approved by the University Relations Office in Varnell-Jones Hall and stamped by the Office of Student Development in the Wilder Student Union. After scheduling, announcements may be placed on designated bulletin boards with the proper stamp affixed.

Bulletin boards are provided in all buildings on campus, and are designated as campus communications boards. It is, therefore, expected that all notices, posters, flyers or other types of announcements be put on these bulletin boards. Walls, doors, windows and the outside of buildings are not available for such use. Tacks, nails, and any type of tape are not to be used on any painted surface. Notices are not to be nailed to trees on campus nor is the use of bumper stickers, except on cars, permitted.
