Vice President For Enrollment Management

Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee seeks a Vice President for Enrollment Management with a proven record of success achieving new student enrollment and revenue goals for a small, private, liberal arts institution.  The Vice President will possess an open and highly collaborative style that instills confidence, excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, exceptional team-building skills, and the ability to build relationships campus-wide in support of new student enrollment goals.    

The Vice President is the University’s enrollment planning and strategy leader, responsible for managing the admissions and financial aid programs and for providing vision and strong leadership to 14 staff members, as well as to a campus community and Board of Trustees eager to support efforts to achieve goals.  The Vice President reports to the University’s Chief Operating Officer and serves with all vice presidents as a full member of the President’s Senior Staff.

The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience leading and managing a successful enrollment program that has grown and shaped new student enrollment, managed the institutional discount rate, and achieved both enrollment and revenue goals consistently.  Important areas of expertise include knowledge of sophisticated direct mail and communication programs, program specific marketing strategies, new market development strategies, the use of the Web in recruitment, inquiry qualifying and grading strategies, financial aid leveraging, the effective use of enrollment software, preferably CAMS Enterprise software by Three Rivers, and experience using management information and reports to forecast enrollment accurately and reliably. 

In addition to the required record of success, preferred candidates will use data and information effectively for planning and decision-making, possess the confidence and maturity to train, develop, mentor, and coach a talented, young staff of admissions and financial aid professionals, and come prepared to meet the high expectations of colleagues and co-workers at a university where enrollment is a top priority.  A master’s degree or higher is preferred.  Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and ability.
