Honor Societies

Alpha Psi Omega - The Chi Sigma Cast is the on-campus affiliate of this national honorary fraternity which promotes excellence in theatre and fellowship among collegiate theatricians. A merit organization, Alpha Psi Omega requires membership to be earned on a point system. Points may be earned in performing, production, and management.

Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society - Dr. Amy Halters, Advisor

Gamma Beta Phi - Affording students an opportunity for fraternal association in academic endeavors, Gamma Beta Phi is a service-leadership organization. Its purpose is to promote scholarship, leadership, and service at Lambuth University. Scholastic requirement for membership is a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or better for students having completed two or more terms of study, or 3.5 for students having completed one term of study. Students earning credits at other institutions are eligible if both the Lambuth University average and the overall academic average meets these requirements.

Omicron Phi Tau - A local society organized in 1930, the purpose of Omicron Phi Tau is to recognize and promote scholarship in the University. Eligibility is the highest of any honor society at Lambuth, requiring a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better in the second term of the junior year or in the senior year. Students earning credit hours at other institutions are eligible if both the Lambuth University average and the overall academic average meets these requirements. Faculty who have excelled in scholarship are also eligible to join. TBA, Advisor

Order of Omega - The Pi Theta chapter of the national Greek honor society, Order of Omega, recognizes those members of the Greek social organizations who have exhibited outstanding campus and inter-Greek leadership, scholarship, and philanthropic work. To be eligible for membership, students must be juniors or seniors and must possess a semester grade point average above the all-Greek grade point average for the semester and a cumulative grade point average above a 2.800. Psi Chi - is the national honor society in psychology which is designed to recognize outstanding psychology majors and minors and provide them with unique professional opportunities. Through its activities, Psi Chi strives to encourage and maintain excellence in scholarship as well as to advance the science of psychology.
