Hyde Hall, opened in 1967, contains classrooms and laboratory facilities for biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and astronomy. The Education department is also located in Hyde, as is an extensive computer center for students. Adjacent to Hyde Science Hall is the M.D. Anderson Planetarium, the only university planetarium in West Tennessee. It is home to weekly star shows and projects 2,000 stars on a ten-meter dome.
