Research and Conferences:
We attend conferences in New Orleans, Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville, and Memphis.
Students present their own research at these conferences.
Students may begin research as early as their freshmen year.
Students may elect to complete experimental research as part of a faculty/student team in Research Practicum.
Research Practicum may be repeated for credit as often as desired.
During the junior year, students take an experimental research course in which they complete their own independent research.
In their senior year, students may elect to help lead the Research Practicum team.

When a student has a special interest, faculty members work with students to arrange internships in that area.
Faculty members work with students to arrange internships in other cities, particularly in the summer when the student plans to be outside of Jackson.
Students may complete multiple internships.

Graduate School:
49 % of Lambuths Psychology graduates attend graduate school, while 51% enter directly into the workforce.
93% of Lambuth Psychology students who apply to graduate school report acceptance into 1 or more of their programs by graduation.
Unlike many undergraduate programs, Lambuths counseling psychology class allows students to practice counseling techniques with other students. Via video tapes, a professor monitors and gives feedback.
Unlike many undergraduate research programs, Lambuth encourages multiple opportunities for research as early as the freshman year.
Independent study courses and internships are developed with students who have interests beyond Lambuths core.
Advisors begin working with students the freshmen year to develop career goals and plans for achieving them.
