SOAR stands for Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration. It is a one-day event during which

Sit down with an advisor to plan for their academic future.
Register for class, get their student ID.
Sign up for their parking pass.
Get their Lambuth mailing address.
Receive housing information.
Set up payment for their accounts.
Throughout the process they will be introduced to student leaders and other new students who will share in the experience.

Parents/guardians
Participate in a series of workshops designed to help them aid their loved ones in finding the right resources for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Attend presentations prepared by faculty, staff, and parents of current students intended to help parents ease their student’s transition to college as well as their own changing parental roles.
Have opportunity to get to know administrators from different offices on campus in order to build partnerships that will benefit students.
