SOAR

SOAR

SOAR stands for Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration. It is a one-day event during which

Students

  • Sit down with an advisor to plan for their academic future.
  • Register for class, get their student ID.
  • Sign up for their parking pass.
  • Get their Lambuth mailing address.
  • Receive housing information.
  • Set up payment for their accounts.

Throughout the process they will be introduced to student leaders and other new students who will share in the experience.

Parents/guardians

  • Participate in a series of workshops designed to help them aid their loved ones in finding the right resources for success both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Attend presentations prepared by faculty, staff, and parents of current students intended to help parents ease their student’s transition to college as well as their own changing parental roles.
  • Have opportunity to get to know administrators from different offices on campus in order to build partnerships that will benefit students.
