International StudentsInternational students should report to the Director of International Affairs immediately upon arrival at Lambuth University. This office is located in Room 114 of Hyde Hall. The Director of International Affairs will aid in ensuring that all immigration papers are properly signed and all other matters properly attended. International students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of campus life. The Student Development staff will endeavor to ease the transition from one culture to another and to provide other assistance as necessary in helping international students adjust to their new environment. English as a Second Language (ESL) ProgramUnlike many other universities its size, Lambuth University offers several ESL courses for its international students. During the fall and spring semesters, courses in reading, writing, grammar and conversation are offered. These courses are designed to prepare international students for success in the university academic setting. Classes are usually small with a maximum of 10 to 12 students and allow students to receive individual attention. Form I-20 and Visa ProcedureAn I-20 form (Certificates of Eligibility for F-1 Visa) will be issued to international students that have been accepted by Lambuth University. The student is responsible for using the I-20 form to apply for the F-1 student visa at a U.S. Embassy in his/her country. Scholarships for International StudentsInternational students may apply for a Merit Scholarship. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, a student must take the ACT or SAT in English, submit the score to the Lambuth Office of Admission and submit official transcripts.
