Dr. Zuker has been in higher education for over 30 years. He has worked in admission, financial aid, enrollment management, alumni relations, institutional advancement and student life at Duke University, Tulane University, Pomona College, the University of California Riverside, and the University of Dallas and on June 1, 2004 became the seventh president of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. Dr. Zuker holds an AB in history, M.Ed. counseling and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Duke University. Dr. Zuker’s interest as a psychologist is in the psychological dimensions of the transition from school to college. He has written and spoken widely on these and related topics. He and his wife Melody (A Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice) have a weekly radio program, Parent Talk. Dr. Zuker also writes a monthly column for the Jackson Sun on parenting. He has been an adjunct associate professor of psychology and has taught courses in abnormal psychology, clinical psychology, theories of counseling and the psychology of adolescence.
Dr. Zuker played varsity football at Duke, holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has run four marathons. He and his wife Melody are avid movie buffs.
